Welcome to Growing Deeper. Many of us desire a deeper experience of God and our Christian faith. We are tired of a superficial and shallow existence. We long to have transformed lives, deeply secure in the love of the Father. These themes dominate my writing and this website will steer you towards resources you may find helpful.

I am now writing a new book -- Waiting on God ... in a Culture that Waits for Nothing. Once again, Bethany House will be the publisher and it is tentatively scheduled for release in Fall 2009.

A Little About Me
David Timms: Born and raised in Australia, I have lived in the United States for two stints; 1982-1988 and 2001-present. I am a University professor and an ordained minister within the independent Christian Churches, training church leaders and pastors since 1994. I have served as a full-time faculty member at Hope International University since 2001. I teach, preach, and speak regularly, in addition to my writing.
I married Kim in 1985 and we have three sons. Our church community is Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, California.
The apostle Paul’s earnest desire that "I may gain Christ (and) be found in Him (and) know Him" (Phil 3:8-10) is increasingly my own passion and drives much of my writing and teaching.
